And before you start about Fiction it was written by the Rev and was originally titled Death. The wrote parts of every song and Johnny Christ estimated that he wrote at least 60%, if not more. The whole album is a tribute to him, and they almost didn't even record it, and then they started thinking about how much the Rev loved this album. They didn't change those songs because the Rev loved them. It's true that "Nightmare" was written before the Rev died, but the band changed some of the lyrics in every song to be about him save for Nightmare and Danger Line. So Far Away was written by Syn and he dedicated it to the Rev because one morning when they were drunk, they were singing it together and Syn said it's like he got to tell him how he felt before his death. Victim, So Far Away, and Save Me were written specifically for the Rev. In 'Save Me' (which is the track after Fiction) the first words you hear are 'they all know. It's disgusting how so many people think they know all about the band after listening to a couple of songs. And I have yet to see a setlist with Brompton cocktail on it since he died They always play so Far away and have played fiction many times. But it has been 7+ years so I think some things should come to light. I hate even writing this because in the song Victim itself it asks us to save our speculation for another time. Sure he could be sobbing because it is the last song Rev wrote. Gates breaks out sobbing during many of the live performances of that song when he is singing(Has a nice voice too). The song comes off as if it is a suicide note, although none recognized it at the time until after he died. Rightfully so given how much they all loved him. The Lyrics "We all need a reason.a reason just to stay.but Some just can't be bothered.to stick around another day" comes across as accusatory. He certainly could have "accidentally" overdosed on a combination of Oxycodone, Oxymorphone, Valium, Nordiazepam and adding alcohol to the mix. The Rev also had a heart condition he knew about which almost certainly meant he would die in a few years anyways. They did not openly admit it, but left enough clues for their fans to figure out. A former member Justin Sane already tried killing himself. Obviously it is never good for a band to have that "Suicide band" label. Aside from being a nice little Queen homage, they might have also written it with the intention of putting it in a First Person Shooter video game in the future (which is a high possibility, because they have written for Call of Duty in the past).Clues are all over the place that the rev killed himself, despite the press release that it was "accidental".
